About
The Stanford Pre-Business Association (SPBA) is Stanford University's premier and largest undergraduate business organization, comprising over 800 students. Its mission is to inspire innovative business leaders by offering comprehensive exposure to business through hands-on projects in finance, marketing, consulting, technology, and social impact. SPBA's programs include the Stanford Business Insights series, which teaches freshmen how to navigate and recruit in the overall business landscape, as well as high-impact, quarter-long client projects partnered with top global companies across various sectors. Additionally, SPBA facilitates personal network growth through activities like speaker panels, mixers, networking events, and more, in partnership with entities like the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Stanford Distinguished Career Institute.
Stanford Business Insight Series
Stanford Business Insights (SBI) Program offers freshmen a tight-knit community and provides students hands-on workshops, speakers, and professional development on each pillar of business including finance, marketing, consulting, technology, and social impact.
Client Projects
The SPBA Client Projects offer a gateway experience for SPBA members to explore different aspects of business. Through hands-on, quarter-long client projects centered around each of the pillars of business - finance, marketing, consulting, tech - students have the opportunity to hone professional skills and build connections with firms and alumni. The SPBA Client Projects take place during the winter and spring quarters.
SPBA Committee Associates Program
The committee program runs alongside the Client Projects and provides students an opportunity to join the SPBA board and help facilitate the growth of the organization! Associates may help develop professional development opportunities (eg. weekly newsletter, interview prep), speaker series (e.g. fireside chats, firm info sessions), social events (e.g. alumni mixers, Special D), and more. The committee applications will open up at the same time as the Client Projects.
